Treatment Process

Orthodontic treatment gradually moves teeth to align the dental arch, making it a long-term process. Let's progress steadily towards achieving a beautiful smile goal. At our clinic, we propose "effective treatment methods in the shortest possible time."

STEP 1

Initial Consultation: "Feel free to inquire"

Duration: 30-45 minutes

We'll take photos of your mouth and X-rays for explanation purposes, discussing the approximate condition, treatment process, duration, fees, etc., related to orthodontic treatment. You can take the explanation photos home for discussion with your family.

STEP 2

Detailed Examination: "Aids in treatment method and appliance selection"

Duration: 30-45 minutes

Various examinations, including X-rays, dental impressions, occlusion, facial photos, intraoral photos, and cavity risk assessment, will be conducted to facilitate diagnosis.

STEP 3

Diagnosis and Appliance Selection: "Conveying examination results and making careful diagnosis"

Duration: 30 minutes

We will explain the problems with the skeletal structure, dental alignment, occlusion, facial soft tissues, treatment methods, treatment duration, etc., using computer images and simulations. We consider the patient's and family's preferences and propose the best treatment method for each patient.

STEP 4

Teeth Cleaning and Brushing Instruction: "Ensuring oral cleanliness before orthodontic treatment"

Duration: 30 minutes

Before attaching the appliance, we remove plaque to leave the mouth clean. We also provide suitable toothbrushing instructions. Fluoride application may be performed if necessary.

STEP 5

Appliance Attachment: "Gradually moving teeth"

Duration: 30-90 minutes

The time required for attaching the appliance varies depending on the type, but for adults, it takes approximately a little over an hour for the entire teeth. In the case of treatment using Invisalign clear aligners, we will explain how to wear the custom-made aligners and the precautions.

STEP 6

Teeth Movement: "Regular adjustment and progress monitoring of the appliance"

Duration: 30 minutes

After wearing the appliance, you will visit us every 3-4 weeks for appliance adjustment and teeth cleaning. The duration of wearing the appliance varies depending on the condition and treatment method, but it is generally around 9 months to 2 and a half years. If you experience any problems during treatment, such as the appliance feeling loose or mouth discomfort, please contact us immediately.

STEP 7

Appliance Removal and Retention Management: "Ensuring proper aftercare to stabilize teeth"

After confirming that the teeth are properly aligned, we will remove the appliance and switch to a "retainer" to stabilize the teeth. Retainers are less conspicuous compared to regular orthodontic appliances. Follow-up appointments every 3-6 months are necessary for aftercare.

STEP 8

Completion of Regular Appointments: "Moving on to regular check-ups. We provide strong support."

Regular appointments are completed. Upon request, we can extend the retention period, perform teeth cleaning, and whitening. To maintain the beautifully aligned teeth and healthy oral cavity after treatment, we recommend regular check-ups in the future.
